Considerations in Grain Cleaning, Sorting, Processing and Material Handling Equipment
A look at the various pieces of equipment and technology that are involved in in providing a high quality finished product from storage to packaging. We will examine what is needed to ensure grain is properly cleaned, sorted and classified to optimize the malting and distilling processes.
About Our Speaker
Dave Ewald
Business Development Director at Bratney
Dave is a graduate of Western Michigan University, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is the Business Development Director at Bratney, a company that was founded in 1964 in Des Moines Iowa and is highly regarded as the industry leader when it comes to the design and supply to the seed, feed, food, grain and milling industries.
Having a 37-year career at Bratney, Dave also serves as a member of their Leadership Team and has actively sought out and developed key partnerships with some of the world’s foremost manufacturers, bringing the latest developments and innovations in cleaning, sizing, sorting and packaging to the industry. His experience and work on a variety of projects, provide a strong foundation and knowledge base that allow him to continue to follow his passion to help clients grow, and to improve their efficiencies while maintaining the identity and integrity of the product they are providing.
After traveling to nearly every state and several countries over the years, you can find Dave enjoying other activities in his down time. Golf, cycling, hiking, fishing and hunting are amongst those, but traveling to see other parts of the world with his wife Claudia and spending time with their adult children and a handful of grandchildren, are most cherished. A nice balance of hard work and play help to round out what life should be.
