Join the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County for the fourth annual Small Grains Field Day! The event will include viewings of 60 varieties of wheat, barley, rye, oats, emmer, einkhorn and spelt; presentations by Cornell University's Dr. Mark Sorrells and Dr. Gary Bergstrom on small grains variety selection and pest management; updates on small grains research at the Farm Hub; and a conversation and tasting with local bakers involved in the trials.
An optional afternoon bus tour will take participants to Migliorelli Farm, Germantown Beer Farm / Hudson Valley Malt, and From the Ground Brewery.
